Rusev Matonis is a Chimera. Fully six foot tall, muscular, with the head of a great cat and a sheen of golden fur covering his body, He cuts an imposing figure and, unlike many, the effects of the disasters were relatively kind to him.

He has lived in and around the Zone since the [First Disaster]] which is believed to have killed the rest of his family and is thought to be the last heir to the Matonis estate in the region of Zaton, now known as the Backwater.

He is currently raising a force of Bandits, Pathfinders and anyone else who will follow him in an attempt to retake his ancestral home from those that currently inhabit it. He promises that there is still a wealth of treasure hidden in the estate waiting to be found and it will be distributed amongst those who help his cause.
