Writs of Pathfinding are documents provided by noble men and women in an attempt to legitimise a Pathfinder to act on their behalf.

In theory they hold little weight amongst the other denizens of the Zone but in practice this varies depending on the seniority of the signee. 

Individuals with such writs are collectively known as Pathfinders and tend to engage in, somewhat grudging, cooperation with each other. Often it is only these writs that differentiate between a Pathfinder and a Bandit.
