Zone
The Zone is an approximately 80km radius area of intense magical activity centered on the Chernobyl mine and the town of Pripyat.
The Southern route, currently cordoned off by the Lithuanian Army is considered the only safe way to access the Zone.
The Neverending Forest to the East is rife with Anomalies and Mutants.
The Backwater to the North is considered effectively inaccessible. Nobody has ever made it through the area alive and the military does not even concern itself with a Cordon here, trusting that the Zone itself will keep out any interlopers.
To the West the clouds of Magic are still so thick that few men have returned when trying to forge a path through.
Rich with both dangers and valuable discoveries, the Zone has been a magnet for treasure hunters since its creation.
